Experience provides a wealth of knowledge and helps builders navigate any challenges that arise. ‘Fresh’ is rarely best when it comes to custom home building.
Attention to Detail: A high-quality custom builder pays attention to the small details. They understand that every single element of your home is critical and that the little things have a significant impact on the overall finished product. Choose someone who ‘sweats the small stuff’.

Pay attention to how much detail they provide you in their ‘pitch’ / proposal. If they provide recommendations/feedback on the plans – this is a good sign. It means they value the industry, the project, and your time.

Ask them the question – “How long has your extended trades team been with you?” And “Do you know all of them by name?”

To end, a high-quality custom builder will have a long list of satisfied clients who are more than happy to recommend them, and, a queue/pipeline of ‘new clients’.
